Rotary District 7120

Since joining the Canandaigua Rotary Club in 1996 she has served as Club Secretary, Program Chair, and Club President (04-05). Most recently Janet is serving as Assistant Governor for Area 6 which includes the Canandaigua, Clifton Springs, Gorham, Red Jacket and Victor/Farmington Rotary Clubs.

Janet is not one to sit idly by while there is much to be done in service to those in need.   As a result, she has served on the boards of Habitat for Humanity, United Way, Wood Library, The Canandaigua Lake Music Festival, and the Canandaigua Housing Development Fund. Janet is also an active member of the First Congregational Church. She received the Canandaigua Chamber of Commerce Small Business Person Award in 2005 and the Athena Award in 2006.

Those of us in the DG Track welcome Janet to the team. We also recognize the importance of the roles that our spouses and partners play. Our thanks go out to Kim for joining Janet in serving the clubs in our District and Rotary International. I’m sure Janet will put his skills to good use.

Kim is a graduate of St. John's University in Queens and worked as a computer programmer and a pharmacist for most of his career.  He has served on the Board of Directors for GEVA for the last 9 years, as well as serving on the board of the Canandaigua YMCA. He is a recent Rotarian, although he has participated in Rotary projects in Canandaigua for as many years as Janet has been a Rotarian and has supported her in every way possible. Kim volunteers at non-Rotary charity events such as Ontario Pathways “Move-A-Thon”, and for the past 11 years performed his one-person dramatization of A Christmas Carol to raise money for many charities and not-for-profits ($92k as of 2018).
