Ralph E Brandt Jr.
District Governor 2022-23, District 7120

Ralph is a 31-year member of Bloomfield Rotary. Ralph was introduced to Rotary by Bob Simpson a Canandaigua, NY Rotary member who Ralph met when Bob was campaigning for Canandaigua Town Supervisor. 
Ralph has been President of Bloomfield Rotary 3 times and has twice filled half year terms when needed. He has served as Secretary for 6 years, Treasurer for 3 years and Bulletin editor for 2. years. He was on the Bloomfield Board for 28 years. Ralph served as AG for Area 5 for 3 years and is a multiple Paul Harris Fellow.
Ralph was married to Janet for 46 years, Janet passed away from Leukemia in March of 2019. Their daughter Lauren is COO of Ontario ARC and husband Brian Steenburn, MEO for the Town of Bristol. Both Lauren and Brian are Bloomfield Rotary members. Ralph, Lauren and Brian reside in Bristol, NY.
Ralph grew up in Irondequoit, NY and after graduating from Syracuse University, Utica College went to work for Kodak. He quickly realized the corporate world was not for him. He spent the next 13 years in the restaurant business. He, along with partners, had The Firehouse Restaurant in Cleveland and Shuffleton’s Restaurant in Westlake, Ohio. When Lauren was starting school, he realized that if he wanted to be involved in Lauren’s schooling and activities a change was needed. The family moved to Canandaigua and Ralph purchased a Manufacturing Representative firm from a friend. He spent the next 30 years thoroughly enjoying representing companies in plastic processing and packaging.
Ralph has been a Board member, officer, Director, President and Chair of the Institute of Packaging Professions. An international trade association dedicated to the vocation of packaging. Ralph is a Lifetime Certified Packaging Professional, Honorary Life Member and Fellow of the Institute.
Ralph served the Town of Canandaigua for 25 years: 9 years on the ZBA, 2 as Chairperson, 16 years on the Town Board, 10 as Deputy Supervisor. Since 2000 he has been a Member of the Ontario County Board of Ethics.
After retiring he started driving school bus for the Bloomfield School District and was President of the Bloomfield Support Personnel Association. He now devotes all his energies to District 7120.
